When the reports kept coming in about how people were conditioning their cutting boards with our Butcher Block Wax just to have an excuse to apply “a bit extra” to their hands (we’ve always recommended applying the stuff directly with your hands), we acknowledged it and our butcher block wax has since come to be known as our universal salve, made up of simple, straightforward, all natural ingredients that can be applied to not only wooden and bamboo food prep surfaces, but also hands, feet and elbows alike! We’ve even heard of some people using it on their lips, in their hair-as a conditioning styling product-as a furniture polish, and even to season a cast iron skillet. This universal salve is free of mineral oil and other petroleum derivatives, synthetics, and artificial chemicals. Contains only expeller pressed grapeseed oil, beeswax, and carnauba wax.
